What the disclaimers mean

Some screens, reports and exports show a figure that Langbyrde has worked out: an estimate of tax owing, a filing date, an amount converted from another currency, or a suggestion from a model. Each of those carries a short disclaimer, shown in the app right beside the figure.

Why they are there

Langbyrde is bookkeeping software. It works figures out from what has been recorded in the company file and from the rule tables it ships with. It cannot know about anything that has not been recorded, and it does not give tax or legal advice. A disclaimer says where a figure came from and what it does not account for.

Where the wording comes from

The wording of every disclaimer comes from the company's jurisdiction rule pack, and is the same on screen, in PDFs and in exports — Langbyrde never rewords one for a particular screen. This page does not repeat that wording; it tells you which figure each disclaimer belongs to. Read the disclaimer itself wherever the figure appears in the app.
