Get the Langbyrde beta
Langbyrde runs on your computer and keeps your books in a file you own. There is no account to create, and nothing about your books is sent to us.

Langbyrde is in beta. Installers are published on this page as soon as they are signed and notarised, and not before. Until then, write to beta@langbyrde.app (the button opens your e-mail app) and tell us a little about your business: the beta is for incorporated contractors and small service businesses based in Ontario.
After you install
- Open Langbyrde. Every feature works for 45 days from that first launch, offline, with no purchase and no account. Without a licence after the trial, Langbyrde switches to read-only mode: you can still read everything, print and export your reports, export the CPA package and all your data, and make backups. Nothing is deleted.
- Create your company and choose a folder for its documents. Write down the recovery kit when it is shown and keep it away from the computer: in this version it resets a forgotten app-lock passcode, and restoring on a new computer will need it once that is built.
- To activate a licence, go to Settings, then Licence. Under Activation, paste the key, name this computer, and choose Activate. Langbyrde contacts the licence server then, and only when you click.
- Langbyrde looks for an update only when you press Check now in Settings, and installs one only when you press Install. You do not need the latest version to keep working.

Your data stays yours
Your books live in one file and your documents in a folder you choose. Privacy and security sets out what the app does and does not send.
